- The purpose of this competition is to provide systems and personnel to perform the maintenance, operations and emergency response for the Gas Networks Ireland (UK) (GNI (UK) South West Scotland Onshore Systems GNI (UK) operate the South West Scotland Onshore Systems including; Brighouse Bay and Beattock compressor stations, two onshore pipelines, Twynholm AGI and seven block valve stations to transport natural gas from the UK to Ireland. The scope of assets include: •The 80km, 750mm diameter S1 pipeline from Beattock to Brighouse Bay. •The 30km, 900mm diameter SS2 pipeline section from Beattock and Cluden (Block valve 6) •The 50km, 900mm diameter SS2 pipeline section from Cluden to Brighouse Bay •Beattock Gas Compressor Station - (operating pressure up to 85 bar) with four Solar Mars 11MW Gas Turbines driving 4 Thermodyn centrifugal gas compressors. •Brighouse Bay Gas Compressor -Station (Operating Pressure up to 148 Bar) with three Siemens SGT 200 Gas Turbines and three Solar Taurus 8MW Gas Turbines driving 6 Thermodyn centrifugal gas compressors. •Seven block valve stations. •Twynholm AGI - A fiscal metered pipeline offtake supplying gas into Northern Ireland. •Future planned EMD (Electric Motor Drvien) compressor Unit and hall at each compressor station including ancillary equipment (High Volateg (HV) switchgear, HV transformers etc.).
