  • Description:
  • IE invites Applicants to participate in the pre-qualification process to appoint suitably qualified companies to a multi-party, framework agreement for Railway Bridge Assessments, at various locations throughout the IE Rail Network. Those companies successfully appointed to the Framework will receive all future tender enquiries. Background Information: Iarnród Éireann has an aging infrastructure with approximately 3000 railway bridges. These bridges transport cars and trucks (bridges known as overbridges) as well as railway traffic (bridges known as underbridges). All the bridges require regular monitoring and analysis to ensure safety and reliability. As the weight and size of our rolling stock is likely to increase into the future, this will put more stress onto our ageing infrastructure. Therefore, it is crucial to assess the structural performance of our bridges to accommodate heavier loads and maintain safety. Hence, Iarnród Éireann wishes to invite tenders for consideration for the provision of qualified and experienced engineering consultants to aid in the assessment of our railway bridges and to advice on route clearances for our rolling stock. We require consultants that can undertake all Level bridge assessments as defined in the PQQ document.
