The project involves the stabilisation, consolidation, and repair of the listed historic Flaxmill building, constructed in 1853. Key works include full encapsulation scaffolding around and over the building-s perimeter to facilitate repairs safely and effectively. The project also encompasses masonry repair, roof reconstruction as a warm roof, removal of asbestos materials, and the preservation of historical features such as through-wall vents and Roman cement render. Additional works include the repair of the second-floor structural deck, remediation of cast iron gutters and parapets, and reinstatement of historically blocked windows. All works aim to reinstate the building to a shell state while maintaining its heritage integrity, adhering to strict conservation standards.
