Description:
The development is a new building envelope test bed facility (O3BET test facility) and storage unit on a site extending to 0.37 ha. The works involve: (i) Develop a full detailed design including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works of a single storey modular test facility which extends to 132 sqm metres, at an overall height of c. 6.51 m. The test facility includes three test cells for testing vertical building envelope test items. (ii) Develop a full detailed design including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works of a storage facility for test items including WC facilities, which extends to 134 sqm metres, at an overall height of c. 5.1 m. (iii) Submit detailed design to University of Galway Design Team for Review (iv) Finalise detailed design following review (v) Management and delivery of construction contract including site setup, enabling works, excavation, site works and completion works for foundations, services, SUDs and hard and soft landscaping work, test facility and storage unit (vi) Testing, commissioning and handover of completed works
