Description:
Lingaun Valley Tourism Company are seeking CFT for the development of phase two of the augmented reality smartphone application to help intrepret the story of the historical sites in the Lingaun Valley. An Augmented Reality Smartphone Application was developed in 2025 bringing the sites of the Kilkerian High Crosses, Kilamery High Cross and Knockroe Passage Tomb to life. With this app, users can explore 3D reconstructions of the valley-s landmarks as they appeared in the past, as well as 360° panoramas of their present-day surroundings and historical states. Beyond interactivity, the app immerses users in the rich history of these sites through engaging "stories." Each location features an interactive video, offering a glimpse into the past of the high crosses and Knockroe Passage Tomb. Additionally, users can access a dedicated webpage with in-depth historical information and use Google Maps to find each site-s location with ease. Lingaun Valley Tourism are now seeking quotes for the expansion of this app into sites in County Tipperary including: • Ahenny High Crosses • Kilcash Castle • Slievenamon
