- This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) and not a call to competition. With the commencement of the Junior Cycle Schoolbooks Scheme in March 2024 the Department of Education is seeking to assist post-primary voluntary, community and comprehensive schools with the process of procuring schoolbooks, including eBooks, and core classroom resources. The Education Procurement Service, on behalf of the Department of Education, now wishes to notify the market that it intends to establish a national arrangement to assist schools in this procurement process relating to the delivery of the Schoolbooks Scheme. It is expected that the competitive process pursuant to this notice will be advertised in due course. The Education Procurement Service, on behalf of the Department of Education does not require a response to this Prior Information Notice.
