- Description:
- Kerry County Council, with the support of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), are developing the South Kerry Greenway which involves the construction of a 27 km greenway between Glenbeigh and Cahersiveen Co. Kerry. The route has been split up into several construction packages with Kerry County Council undertaking the construction of some of the works under direct labour. This tender competition covers the Design and Build elements of the scheme only, which includes Greenway Section 2A (Ch 18,150 to Ch 21,231), Greenway Section 2C (Ch 22,145 to Ch 25,678), N70 Overbridge (CH 26,870) and Kells Car Park (CH 18,150). The works requirements for the above sections will encompass all works necessary to complete the greenway including, design, PSDP Services, PSCS Services, environmental management, earthworks, drainage, pavement, fencing, landscaping, signage, slope stabilization, retaining wall construction, rehabilitation of existing structures, construction of new structures, road realignment, traffic management and all other services necessary to complete the works. The Design and Build Section contains a number of tunnels of historical and cultural significance. Please note the Cahersiveen (Valentia Estuary) Bridge, the Gleensk Viaduct and the N70 Underpass are not included in the scope of this Design and Build competition.
