Description:
The purpose of this tender is to appoint a supplier to develop a 10-year tourism? masterplan for Sliabh Liag, setting out a clear, innovative, and sustainable vision for the site. The plan will maximise Sliabh Liag-s potential as a world-class visitor destination while ensuring the protection of its unique natural environment and the delivery of social and economic benefits for local communities. Sliabh Liag is a Signature Discovery Point on the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland-s iconic coastal touring route. The master plan must align with the brand proposition and visitor experience principles of the Wild Atlantic Way, recognising the site's strategic importance within the network. The plan should strengthen Sliabh Liag-s role across the wider Wild Atlantic Way, ensuring consistency in storytelling, design language, and visitor experience. In addition, Sliabh Liag is a key site featured in the West Donegal and the Islands Destination Experience Development Plan, a five-year sustainable destination strategy being rolled out by Fáilte Ireland, commencing in 2026. The masterplan must complement and support the objectives of this regional development framework, contributing to the creation of a cohesive and compelling visitor experience that enhances the sites appeal while promoting long-term sustainability for the region. The outcome will be a practical, costed, and deliverable roadmap that balances conservation with development and positions Sliabh Liag for long-term success.
